Teufel Ultima 40 MK2 Vs Het variant of the Ultima 40

Ultima 40

Teufel Ultima 40 MK2 is an upgraded version of the original Teufel Ultima 40. The 40 MK2 has a new lightweight design and is great for the beginning bass fisherman who is not looking to spend an arm and a leg. The reason for the upgrade is two-fold. First, the original version was heavy and bulky. A light-weight bass fishing reel combined with a durable reel with good size bearings will make for a much more comfortable day on the lake. Second, the 40 MK2 now has two speeds instead of just one.

First, let’s talk about the weight loss. I’m not going to say the lightness is better because both still have their pros and cons. With the 40MK2 you can now use a faster reeling line and use a heavier jig head because the weight difference between the two is greater. You also get longer rod lines thanks to the extra length on the pole pieces. That being said, the 40 MK2 is still lighter than the original teufel ultima 40.

So what does this all mean? Well, the new teufel version of the 40-inch bait shop rod is now lighter and more compact. This is great because it means that there’s less weight sitting on your wrist when you’re casting. In addition, the 360-degree v-brakes that are on the 40 mk2 is a big improvement over the older model. These brakes allow you to stop a little faster, which helps you keep your bait from getting spooked and letting you strike harder with a bigger bait and live bait combo.

The other major change is the style of the reel. The original model of the 40 inch bait shop rod had a very big and open bevel that looked like a “V” shape. The a is now narrowed and it has a much smaller opening. This has a significant impact on how the bait looks. With the vb narrower and open bevel, the hook will hang straighter and be easier to control. In addition, the a more modern design makes it more sensitive to bait temperature changes which is great for catch and release fishing.

The teufel and reel are also getting an upgrade. The 40-inch model is now made with a die cast metal housing that provides a much larger turning radius. This is great for those who fish in large bodies of water with strong current or for those who just want a bigger catch. The large turn radius is also perfect for use with heavy cover such as copper or white crappie.

The final big change with the 40 Ultima 40 MK2 is the new dieper. The dieper is a small metal piece on the shank that raises and lowers the shank and enables you to easily change the tension and line diameter without removing the shank from the rod. This dieper also adds strength to the line, preventing breakage while still providing a wide range of weights and diameters. I’m excited to see this new model to take shape and I’m looking forward to trying out the new cast reel. I’ve also been testing out the het variant of the ultra-40 and I’ll have more to say about that in another article.
