The Rock and the Hard Place – The War Between You and You
The Rock is you, your human mind and all its worldly programming. This is the mindset that tells you things like: this is it or this is what we believe. Or this is what is expected of you. Or this is what good people do. Or this is what good mothers do. Or this is what good Christians do. You get the picture. These are the messages that we have been programmed to believe and act as an integral part of being humanized on planet earth.
The Hard Place is your soul’s desire for freedom, truth and joy. The Hard Place is the ever-present insistence of your Godchip urging you to achieve the realization of more Good and more Love in the world through your unity through your creations, your words, your behaviors, your mind and your relationships as a human being. on land.
Very often, the Rock and the Hard Place are in diametrical opposition. Human customs, customs and practices can be in diametric opposition to the Truth of the Self. This is when we feel that inner infatuation, and even more often it comes down to issues such as fidelity, loyalty, love, patriotism: human tenants long-standing that have a shred of Truth contained within them, but not the full Truth. This scope is often called “selfish” by other humans.
These moments are the opportunity for the expansion of the Soul in a human life. We are freeing ourselves from the limitations of the human mind to achieve greater freedom of expression of the soul in the physical world. These times are often characterized by deep depression, always by psychic pain in resisting expansion. They are sometimes known as the Dark Night of the Soul.
They are passages of awakening. The most difficult are always related to someone or something that we appreciate and are afraid of ‘losing’. An example could be when an employee who has worked for a company for 30 years sees that some of the company’s practices are illegal or immoral and has to choose within himself if he can continue to be a part of it and reach his hard-earned retirement. for a long time or ruin the situation. reporting the practices and risking your financial security, not to mention your quiet, anonymous, and safe condition.
Whenever someone is faced with addictive behavior from a loved one, the issue arises as to whether one is willing to remain involved in the chaos of another’s life or to set it free, thus choosing self over someone else’s drama.
A retired veteran sees a war his country is participating in and suddenly feels that this military action is not correct, yet he has always defined his actions by the tenant, “My country is right or wrong.” Now, for whatever reason, you question this and find yourself contemplating new definitions and a deeper understanding of patriot, duty, and loyalty.
The Rock and Hard Place experience comes when we break free of a belief in the human mind acquired from birth and replace it with a higher Soul Truth. They are difficult passages, because they demand that we risk the acceptance of our peers and, generally, they put us face to face with the harsh standards by which we have previously judged others.
These passages are important and, if followed to the other side, provide a new vision of life and a higher quality of life experience. We leave happier, relieved and freer because we really are more of Who We Really Are: Love and Joy.
We have many of these Waterloo moments throughout our lives, and it is extremely important that we recognize them as meaningful, important and critical to a better experience of this human life, because we are allowing more Spirit – Who we really are – to imbue our minds. human.
But just as it is painful to increase those reps in the gym, any expansion is also usually painful. Of course it doesn’t have to be this way, but with humans we tend to resist change for countless reasons, all of which are additional fears of the human mind: we don’t want to eat crows; we don’t want to admit; we do not want to be excluded or excommunicated; we don’t want to be judged, etc.
As a teacher once told me while helping me with one of my own expansions: “When you are a caterpillar, you have caterpillar friends; but when you become a butterfly, you have butterfly friends.”
Many of us are experiencing these Rock and Hard Place times right now because the world is changing and demands authentic change from us rather than a change of human mind. In the evolution of humanity, this is our next step in awakening as a species and as individuals.
No one can go through these moments for you, but you should know that you are never alone. Your ever-present Godchip, your Soul, is calling you forward, asking you to let go of everything that restricts the expression of your True Self. On the other hand, however, there is more love, more truth, more joy, more freedom and a more authentic life experience for you.
Imagine people from all over the world going through these Dark Nights of the soul.
Now imagine the best world that they can and will create from that new and more Real place of being within them.
