Video game tester – Is it worth it?

As a professional video game tester, that’s obviously a big one. You will get the latest video games and you will pay for it. Isn’t that enough? Honestly, what can we ask of a player? The big question though: How much does a paid video game tester charge? After all, if the pay isn’t good, why would anyone continue in this direction?

Average salary ranges from 15-$20,000 per year to 80-100+ miles per year. How much does a game tester cost directly on the number of jobs he receives and which ones, in conjunction with developers for hire? However, as most game testers break work in a labor factory and an annual wage deal on an hourly and weekly figure is not allowed.

They are typically paid $8.20 per hour, depending on their experience. For this example, take the middle ground and go for $15 per hour for mid-level testers. Game testers tend to put in many hours a week (40-50+), which is often inflexible deadlines caused by developers. With that said, let’s say the tester works on the general minimum requirements (40 hours) and pays the $15 per hour for work on top of testing. 40 hours x $15 is a weekly wage of $600, assuming the testers worked that many hours per week. Sounds like a good salary, right? I bet it does, and most players want to cash a check like that every week.

A career as a professional video game tester for your interest? Now it should be. Test set is a great job and that means the same thing. The few downsides that come with video game testing aren’t even that close to a questionable decision, and only because this career is really fun!
