Check the status of the visa online on a special website
The Department of State’s Consular Center site has a special section where you can find out the status of your US visa. To use this system, you must click on the link and enter your data. To obtain correct results, verify that the first line of the selected item is “NON-IMMIGRANT VISA”, and the second has the correct specification of the country and city of the application. In the third field, you need to enter your DS-160 form number, which you can find on the confirmation page. After clicking the “Submit” button, a window will open, the information of which will help you track the status of your visa.
Check visa status online by email
There is another way to check the location of a passport with a US visa – send an email to the visa support service. You need to write an email to do this. The subject and the letter must specify the number of your foreign passport in the format that was specified in your profile when registering in the system.
