Wonderful homemade beauty products

Often you will see that the first thing someone notices about you is your skin. So it is very normal that you have to take proper care of your skin to feel good about yourself. Getting healthy and beautiful skin is not a problem; all you have to do is take care of it regularly. Your diet and lifestyle will greatly affect how your skin looks, but just as important are the beauty products you use to exfoliate and moisturize your skin.

But the misconception most of us have is that the more money we spend, the better products we get to maintain healthy, glowing skin. There are plenty of homemade beauty products that will give you similar (and sometime better) results and you can make them at home with things lying around your kitchen!

Some of these things that you will need to make your homemade beauty products include items like olive oil, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and honey. These things are already available in most kitchens. Other than that, you will need essential oils, beeswax pellets, and extra virgin coconut oil.

Almond oil, honey, and brown sugar can all be used to make a good body scrub. You will need two parts oil and one part honey and brown sugar. The mixture should be thick and the liquid should not flow. Almond oil can be substituted with extra virgin coconut, olive, jojoba or avocado oil. Instead of brown sugar, you can use salt or granulated sugar. You can use this scrub to remove dead skin while taking a shower or bath. A radiant complexion from head to toe is guaranteed with this homemade scrub.

Another beauty product that will help you achieve radiant skin is a honey mask. A radiant and healthy look is achieved through the use of honey, which exfoliates and tightens the skin pores. For the mask, take about 2 tsp. of honey and rub it between your fingers for a second or two. Now use a gentle massaging motion to apply this mask to your nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead. Be careful when using around the eye area and avoid the hairline and eyebrows. Keep the honey on your face for about 10 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Finally, dry yourself with a towel.

One of the most useful homemade beauty products that you can easily make calls for cornstarch, baking soda, and extra virgin coconut oil. Use them together for a great natural deodorant. The baking soda will remove the odor, while the cornstarch will remove the moisture. Coconut oil naturally comes in a solid state, making it the perfect medium to combine these two items in bar form. It is also a good skin moisturizer.

The last tip for homemade beauty products is to make lip balms for your lips. The items you will need are beeswax pellets and essential oils. The former can be found at most craft stores while the latter is available at beauty stores. You can opt for essential oils that are from “edible” sources, such as orange, peppermint, raspberry, or lemon. Melt the beeswax pellets and mix in the essential oils while it is still liquid. Then, pour it into a container and let it cool.
