Your divine calling (2) – Finding your purpose in life
The most important thing on the face of the earth is to be born again and become a Christian. The next most important things are discovering your divine calling in this world, accepting it and entering it, and then fulfilling it. God created everyone with a purpose, which is God’s destiny. In this world, not everyone walks in God’s destiny. Fate simply means fate.
God has chosen a specific destiny for everyone, but some have chosen their own destiny. While some walk in the devil’s destiny for them. Therefore not all destinies are from God. Before someone can begin their God-given destiny, they must first be born again. When you are born again, you are at the starting point of your divine calling. So what does it mean to be born again?
Being born again is not going to church and doing things right even though these are the results of being born again. In order to be born again, you have to believe in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead and confess with your mouth that He is Lord of your life (Romans 10:9).
To be born again is to receive God’s divine life in your spirit. When a person is born again, he receives the divine ability to act correctly. This ability is due to the nature of GOD in him (Ephesians 4:24). He can now make the right decisions and do the right things that will ultimately prepare you to fulfill his calling.
After you have received Jesus into your life and received His new life, the next thing is that you must receive the Holy Spirit. It is not a suggestion, it is mandatory. Every Christian must be filled with the Holy Spirit. The filling of the Holy Spirit energizes you for your calling. No one can fulfill their calling without the guidance of the Holy Spirit, because He knows the map of your life and will be the only one to guide you. He is the custodian of the pattern of your life and calling.
We must fulfill our divine mandate. When you study the books of Acts, you will discover that everyone who believed in the name of Jesus also had to receive the Holy Spirit and speak in other tongues. The apostles knew the importance of receiving the Holy Spirit. He is the one who builds the church of Jesus Christ. He is the one who charts our course and directs us. He is the one who strengthens us in the midst of threats and persecutions. If you have not received the Holy Spirit, don’t waste time, receive it now. (Luke 11:13).
The Holy Spirit is the success you need to fulfill your calling. He will be there when no one is there; He will never leave you or forsake you no matter the situation. He is more than willing to help you fulfill your divine calling. He will guide you through every distraction and infuse you with strength whenever it is needed.
The same day that I was born again is the same day that I received the Holy Spirit. It was an extraordinary day in my life. I started to see things differently. The Holy Spirit opened my eyes to see the untapped abilities in me and also to see the world in a different light. From that day, I began to see that the world needs Jesus. I didn’t even know much about Him then, but I was hungry to know Him and to live for Him.
This is what the Holy Spirit does with you. You will definitely see that the world needs to hear the gospel. Then you will begin to discover what role you are going to play in the Kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit enlightens you about what you did not know before you became a new creation.
From the very day I received the Holy Spirit, I began to speak in other tongues. Speaking in other tongues made me bold about the salvation I had received. I told my friends and everyone I met. Even in my family they noticed the difference. I started preaching to them regularly. It’s like a fulfillment of Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and in the ends of the earth.”
I became a proof producer after receiving the Holy Spirit and the gift of speaking in other tongues. Therefore, surrender to the Holy Spirit and His ministry in your life and you will gloriously fulfill your calling.
