Dangers of Ghost Hunting

So you think about becoming a ghost hunter, like those guys on TV, right? Hold that thought for a moment, friend, because TV shows don’t really discuss the dangers every paranormal investigator faces with every case. This article aims to introduce you to some facts before you decide to become an investigator, as there are many dangers you may face.

And honestly, I’m not talking about some entities that might attack you. I’m talking about very physical dangers. For example, you may be called on a case that is not really paranormal in nature, but you are the witness to supernatural activity suffering from some serious mental illness. There is a possibility that you will be attacked by that person. Or you may enter an abandoned building that is supposed to be haunted, and inside you may be attacked by thugs, drug addicts, homeless people, etc. Or maybe some thieves have set a trap for you, because they know that as a paranormal investigator, you will be carrying expensive equipment with you?

Not to mention some other things, very popular in older buildings, like the rotten wooden floor that could break under your body. And while you’re spending your time on private property, you can get arrested by police or attacked by wild animals when investigating just about anything.

Finally, imagine that you might come across some very aggressive poltergeist activity, or a neg or even a demon capable of throwing you down the stairs. How to exorcise a demon? How to deal with the negatives? There are entities that we are up against that are very powerful and capable of many things. You should not refuse the use of some amulets and protection rituals that your friendly psychic might advise you on.

How to deal with all the dangers you could face? There is a rule of thumb: never walk alone. If you’re going to investigate something, take someone with you. And if you’re a member of a team of ghost hunters, make sure you work in pairs: never go on patrol alone, always take someone with you. This may not save you from being attacked or hurt, but it does add an extra support element to your investigation.

As you can see from this article, hunting ghosts isn’t as safe or user-friendly as it might seem on all these TV shows, so keep this in mind before embarking on a paranormal investigation.
