Home Business – How to find a niche of rabid buyers

When you are just starting out online, finding a niche is one of your main concerns. It is the foundation on which your Internet business is built. Pick the right niche and you’ll be laughing all the way to the bank.

Here is a brief step-by-step guide to finding a niche full of buyers:

1. Write a short list of niches

Write a list of niches that you have in mind. This is the simplest step, as you may already have some ideas for niches you want to break into.

2. Enter them into a keyword research tool

Enter the main keywords for the niches you have noted in Wordtracker or the Google Adwords keyword research tool. Both will give you estimated numbers of searches for each keyword in the search engines.

3.Go to Amazon

Visit Amazon’s best sellers list and check out the best selling books. Do any of the niches you have shortlisted fall among the book topics at the top? Also, do a search for your niches to see how many books show up. If there are many books on the subject, it is likely to be a profitable topic.

4. Check out eBay

Ebay’s Pulse section curates the latest trends and most popular searches on the auction site. You can even browse it by category so you can see what are the most popular products in each category. See if your niches fit into any of the top trends, searches, or most popular products in categories.

Here’s to finding your winning niche!
