The latest hike in the cost of natural gas has pushed their costs up. In December, the price of the gas increased by 4.50 per square cubic meter. It was followed by a hike of a further 5.30 in February.

Lastly, the price of natural gas is expected to rise in the coming days. The industry will need to revise the price of natural gas to avoid further problems. However, this is far from being a profitable move for the industrialists. Despite the fact that gas is the main component in the production of ceramic products, the price of clay alternatives is likely to reach all-time highs.
Nevertheless, the new price is expected to take effect in February of 2021. Until then, the ceramic industry in Morbi will continue to suffer from the increase in gas fuel prices. Therefore, the best bet would be to stock up on extra boxes of tiles to cover any eventualities.
