Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time
It brings joy to the mind, body and soul.
Except for the Turkeys, who I don’t think will have a very good time
Life must be hell for them at Thanksgiving time.
One must bet that the taste in his mouth is not like that of wine.
One must bet it’s more like lemon lime
They look good and smell good on someone’s plate.
This is not the best position to be in on Thanksgiving.
The day is full of festivities. It is a day when Americans
You can splurge and not even blink as you stuff the turkey
With a wide open mouth and a good dressing on the side
Some even dance to the rhythm of the slide or electric slide.
But for the turkey, everyone must have a portion
Thanksgiving Day is also known as Turkey Day by many:
Turkey Day is a day during which many are feasting
The day turkey is served is a day of love throughout the United States.
Turkey Day is a day for family reunion in the United States
The day the turkey is served is a day for the legs to be under the table
Turkey Day is a day for smiles to be on the faces of many
The day the turkey is served is a day to spread love at the table
Turkey Day is a day to hand out hugs in the living room
The day the turkey is served is a day to fix things with others.
Turkey Day is a time to break bread with everyone
The day the turkey is served is a day of celebration!
The family should be in a state of joy at Thanksgiving.
The family must be able to show love on such a special day
The family should be in a state to know each other on Thanksgiving Day.
The family must be able to talk about unity on such a special day
The family must be in a state to communicate with each other on Thanksgiving.
The family must be able to hold hands on such a special day
The family should be in a state of grace on Thanksgiving.
The family must be able to improve their quality of life on such a special day
The family should be in a state to set an example at Thanksgiving.
Eating a piece of turkey on Thanksgiving is educational
Too bad turkeys pay the price on Thanksgiving.
However, for some to live, some may have to die!
Fortunately, it’s not the people eating the turkey.
Mr. President, keep giving the turkeys a reprieve.
